ChaiseFitness Co-founder Rachel Piskin, A former dancer from New York City Ballet, Rachel now focuses her time and energy on teaching the Reinvention Method and creating innovative new programming such as her wildly successful BalletBungee class.
With a Pilates certification from the world-renowned Physicalmind Institute and a B.A. from NYU in Costume Design, she has helped countless actresses, supermodels, athletes, and professional dancers further develop and define their physiques.
Rachel’s dance career began at only eight when she was cast as Marie in the New York City Ballet’s The Nutcracker. She then went on to dance many of the lead children’s roles, and at 16, she formally joined the New York City Ballet and worked alongside distinguished choreographers like Christopher Wheeldon, Susan Stroman, and Peter Martins. After receiving the 2004 Danish American Society’s D.A.N.C.E. scholarship, she went on to be named one of Dance Magazine’s 2009 “25 to Watch.” Rachel has been featured in numerous television programs, films, and books throughout her dance career and continues to be featured in her new incarnation, a fitness professional.
Rachel credits Chaise’s unique Reinvention Method for keeping her in peak shape since ending her ballet career and has demonstrated the method on camera and print for Shape Magazine, Fitness Magazine, ABC News, The Today Show, and Oxygen.
