Claudia Aarts-Schreiber

Claudia Aarts-Schreiber is the owner and head instructor at ChaiseFitness Maplewood. Claudia earned her Pilates certifications from the Physicalmind Institute and the Kane School, she is also a certified GYROTONIC EXPANSION SYSTEM® trainer and holds certifications in TRX Suspension Training and the BodyCode® System. Claudia was one of the original instructors at ChaiseFitness New York City when it opened its flagship studio in 2012. In 2017, Claudia brought ChaiseFitness to New Jersey and is the proud owner of the Maplewood studio. She teaches both Group Classes and one-on-one Private Sessions.

Claudia started her first ballet lessons at the age of 7 when recovering from childhood leukemia. At the age of 11, she started professional training with Elena Kunikova in New York City. Her dance career took her all over the world, dancing with the Carolina Ballet, to Europe as a partner of star dancer Angel Corella, and later dancing as a soloist with the Norwegian Ballet where she danced roles in both classical and contemporary ballets.

In 2011, Claudia retired from the stage and moved back to New York City to focus fully on her new career in body conditioning and group fitness. She is passionate about helping others feel better in their bodies and draws inspiration from her own physical journey.
